Use It Up!

NK Agri’s uniquely formulated, nutrient rich coffee waste-based fertilizer re-establishes the natural and sustainable cycle of this commodity. Our fertilizer keeps coffee waste out of landfills while feeding and protecting crops and plants.

Humanity Runs on Coffee

Coffee is one of the world’s most important agricultural commodities. An estimated 3.5 billion cups of coffee are consumed worldwide every day. Although, when you make a cup, you are using less than 1% of the coffee. Two billion tonnes of coffee waste are produced a year. It ends up in landfills, groundwater, and releasing methane to the atmosphere. This makes coffee waste a threat to the environment.

What remains in coffee waste is a wealth of intact functional compounds that can be used as an active ingredient in fertilizers. Coffee waste contains more Nitrogen (N) and Potassium (K) than common organic materials such as cow and chicken manure.

Our coffee waste-based fertilizer adds organic material to and aerates the soil, improves water drainage, and most importantly, it closes the environmental loop.

Nitrogen (N)

Considered to be the most important nutrient for plants. It is essential in the formation of protein, which makes up much of the tissues in living things. Nitrogen ensures plants remain healthy as they grow and nutritious to eat after they are harvested.

Potassium (K)

Potassium acts like a shield for the plant. It strengthens the plant’s ability to resist diseases and protects it from the elements. Potassium plays an important role in the overall quality and growth of the plant.

Jaskirat Dhanoa

Chief Executive Officer

I have over a decade of agricultural experience. At my farm, I created strategies to maximize crop production to meet commercial client standards. I hand-sowed and raised certified natural products and looked for sustainable methods to mitigate crop weed and deal with pest control. Away from my commercial farm, I run my own pesticide business and consults with farmers in the area to find environmentally friendly solutions to their farming problems. I hold a Bachelor of Arts and completed a Diploma in Agriculture in India.
